On the palate it is juicy, with very fine tannins and a polished texture, making it very approachable and easy to enjoy from the outset. As for balance, the critic notes that despite alcohol often around 14.5%, the wine keeps remarkable balance without feeling heavy or overly warm. The wine was bottled in October 2025.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLuís Louro is the son of Miguel Louro of Quinta do Mouro. In 2004 Luís founded Adega Monte Branco in Estremoz to make wines built on balance rather than power, and on freshness rather than excess. The project is based on traditional Portuguese grape varieties and inspired by the Alentejo wines of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLuís Louro firmly believes that great wines are born in the vineyard, so he began by renting vineyard plots while gradually building his own winery. Over the years he has expanded through land purchases, new plantings and vineyard acquisitions. On the other hand, the deep mid-palate absorbs the tannins and keeps it from being too astringent.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn opening it seemed a little rough and awkward, but about an hour in the glass helped a lot. This wine will need a few years in the cellar to show its full potential, but right now it looks like one of the best Terras. The key question is how good it will be when it peaks. Will it keep its balance perfectly? Will it evolve?
