The blend is 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, and average production is only around 4,800 bottles per vintage, making it one of the most sought-after wines of the northern Rhône.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the glass it shows an intense colour and a nose of blackberry, violet, black olive, pepper and cured meat over a smoky background. The palate is dense and silky, with fine tannins, freshness and a long, spicy finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDecant for at least an hour and serve at 16–18 °C with game, duck, roast lamb or aged cheeses.
