Quinta do Pessegueiro Rufete 2018/2020

Quinta do Pessegueiro was acquired in the mid-80s by Frenchman Roger Zannier.
Today, winemaker João Nicolau de Almeida, grandson of Fernando Nicolau de Almeida, creator of Barca Velha, counts on the production of his wines. Facing west, at an altitude ranging between 197 and 355 meters, Quinta do Pessegueiro has 8.84 hectares of vineyards, most of which were planted around 35 years ago and some old vines, over 110 years old. For Roger Zannier “the objective is to make one of the best Douro wines here”.

Light red color, balsamic aromas, some apricot and cherry. In the mouth it is delicate, fresh with notes of leather. A very elegant wine.
