Description

L'Arlésienne Morgon Corcelette Truges 2022 is a standout red from Beaujolais, France, made by Benoît Moreau. It's made from Gamay, from old vines (around 80 years) in high-altitude plots in the Corcelette climat, specifically the Truges area.

Sensory Profile and Tasting Assessment

The 2022 vintage stands out for balancing sophistication and intensity, with an enveloping structure that doesn't lose lightness.

Aromatically, striking scents of black cherry, strawberry and raspberry stand out, harmonised with delicate floral notes of violet and subtle mineral and saline hints.

On the palate it's medium-bodied, with polished, well-integrated tannins and lively acidity that lengthens the finish persistently and elegantly.

It aged for 12 months in 500-litre oak barrels, adding complexity. Although already very enjoyable, a further 2 to 3 years in bottle is recommended for it to show its full potential.
