Producer
Jorge Moreira
Pinhão valley, Douro, Portugal · since 2001
Winemaker Jorge Moreira founded Quinta do Poeira in 2001 — formerly Quinta da Terra Feita de Cima, in the Pinhão valley — with encouragement from Dirk Niepoort. He chose north-facing slopes to make fresher, more elegant Douro reds; the name 'Poeira' (dust) comes from the schist soil.
