Quinta de Santiago
Monção, Vinho Verde, Portugal
Quinta de Santiago, in Monção, has belonged to the Santiago family since 1899. In 2009 grandmother Mariazinha challenged her children and grandchildren to stop selling grapes and create their own brand, giving birth to a small Alvarinho producer. Joana Santiago left law for wine in 2014 to lead the project.

Description
The Conjunto de 3 garrafas em caixa de madeira da Quinta de Santiago is a special collector's edition bringing together three white wines made from single plots (Single Vineyards) on the estate in Monção e Melgaço. Each plot offers a unique, well-defined sensory profile: Focused on Alvarinho from a plot with plenty of clay and younger vines. An expressive wine with good intensity, notes of tangerine and lime, a slightly fuller texture and balanced acidity (often with malolactic fermentation to round out the body).
