In summer 1886 William Grant began building his distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, by hand, stone by stone, helped by his seven sons and two daughters. He named it Glenfiddich — Gaelic for 'Valley of the Deer' — and the first spirit ran from the stills on Christmas Day 1887. It remains one of the few single malt distilleries that is entirely family owned.

Description
Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Single Malt is an exceptional Scotch whisky, known for its complexity and rich, fruity character, the result of maturing in Spanish Oloroso sherry and American oak casks. Each batch is produced in small quantities ("small batch") and married in wooden tuns, where the rich flavours come together before bottling. Each batch is individually numbered, ensuring consistency and a distinctive character.
