Rosé: brief skin contact gives its colour and fruity freshness.
Region · Portugal
Alentejo
Warm, sun-drenched plains in southern Portugal among cork-oak groves. Generous, supple reds, rounded whites and an ancient clay-amphora (talha) tradition.

Herdade Grande
Alentejo (Vidigueira), Portugal · since 1997
A Vidigueira estate in the Lança family since 1920, when Ernesto dos Santos Lança bought it. For decades its grapes went to the local co-operative, until in 1997 António Lança set up as a producer-bottler and released the estate's first wine. The fourth generation now runs it, with Diogo Lopes as winemaker.

Wine profile
Body
This wine: 2 out of 5 — closer to «light».
How heavy and full the wine feels in your mouth — from light like skimmed milk to rich like cream. It comes mainly from alcohol, extract and, in sweet wines, sugar.
Wine profile
Tannin
This wine: 1 out of 5 — closer to «silky».
Tannins come from grape skins, seeds and oak. You feel them as a pleasant drying grip on gums and tongue — from silky and velvety to firm and chewy.
Wine profile
Acidity
This wine: 3 out of 5 — right in the middle.
The freshness that makes your mouth water, like a squeeze of lemon. It gives a wine tension, length and ageing potential, and makes it great with food.
Wine profile
Alcohol
This wine: 2 out of 5 — closer to «low» (12% vol.).
Alcohol brings warmth and body. Still wines usually sit between about 11% and 15% ABV, while fortified wines such as Port sit around 19–20%.
Wine profile
Sweetness
This wine: 1 out of 5 — closer to «dry».
The residual sugar you can taste. EU label guide for still wines: dry up to ~4 g/L, medium-dry up to ~12 g/L, medium-sweet up to ~45 g/L, sweet above that.

Description
Bright light pink with salmon tones and a very attractive red hue, with soft aromas of red fruit, red liquorice and blackberry. The fruit is more pronounced on the palate, offering juicy sweets of watermelon, raspberry sweets, pear, peach and a mineral touch. The acidity is light to medium — not too high for drinking on its own. It finishes quickly, but with a nice flavour of liquorice and red cherry, plus a little citrus.
