Terra do Zambujeiro Branco 2022 is a prestigious white with an international profile and Burgundian style, made by Quinta do Zambujeiro in the Borba sub-region of the Alentejo.

The 2022 Terra do Zambujeiro Branco has an international profile (I later realised Chardonnay is 20% of the blend, which also includes 34% Roupeiro, 27% Antão Vaz and 19% Arinto) and was made in Burgundian style, fermented and aged in 300-litre French oak barrels, 20% of them new, with selected yeasts. It shows ripeness, freshness and abundant spicy and smoky notes, and is clean, tasty and juicy, with less alcohol than in previous vintages — this year just 13%. 5,726 bottles were produced. Bottled in January 2024.
