Baigorri Belus is the other jewel of the house. All the knowledge and selection capacity of Baigorri B70 is applied to this wine, with the difference being the protagonist, the Mazuelo grape accompanied by a little Tempranillo. A red wine with the Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja Alavesa, from old vines with an average age of 50 years, located in the town of Samaniego, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. These vineyards are worked under sustainable agriculture criteria and in harmony with nature, with 100% manual labor.


Made mainly from Tempranillo grapes, with a small proportion of Mazuelo added. The grapes were hand-selected, grain by grain, using selection and vibration tables. The grapes were destemmed without crushing, macerated in special temperature-controlled tanks and fermented for a long time at moderate temperatures to maintain the characteristics of the fruit. This wine was aged in new French oak barrels for 14 months. The interesting thing about this wine is the performance of another variety that is not common in Rioja Alavesa, in the same geographical location.
