The Wine Advocate: The 2022 PSI is clean, expressive and open, much more approachable than the more reductive 2021 I tasted alongside it. It’s raw, fruit-focused and precise. “The fruit selection was better in 2022,” Sisseck explained. It’s restrained in its ripeness and polished texture, elegant and refined, with fine tannins. It feels like a step up from the 2021. This was also the final blend waiting to be bottled – already clarified, with added sulphur and everything, so it’s pretty much the wine that will be bottled.
Tim Atkin: The numbers are impressive, showing just how successful this brand has become: 200 hectares, 500 growers, 700 plots and 360,000 bottles. Combining Tinto Fino and 8% Garnacha, mostly sourced from vineyards east of Aranda, this wine is vibrant, focused and subtly oaky, with notes of pomegranate, black cherry and mountain herbs on the palate, plus a discreet 5% new wood. 2025-34.
