Description
Ornellaia is the grand vin of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia in Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast, and one of the most sought-after Super Tuscans. It is classified as Bolgheri DOC Superiore.
It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in barrique. The 2021 shows concentrated black fruit, cedar, cocoa and spice, with dense yet polished tannins and a long finish.
Ideal with grilled red meat, lamb or game. Serve at 18–20 °C and decant an hour ahead.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
