Overture Opus One 2022

Robert Mondavi was the first man to establish a vineyard in the United States and owns one of the most successful and award-winning wineries in the world. By adapting Old World tradition to American winemaking, Mondavi produces unique, accessible wines that appeal to amateurs and connoisseurs alike. As is the tradition with many of the great Bordeaux Châteaux, Opus One produces a second wine called Overture. Each section of the estate is meticulously farmed with the attention to detail and unique approach required to produce Opus One. An extensive blending process is undertaken and not every lot of the estate’s wines are chosen for the final Opus One blend. This wine has aromas of blueberries, blackcurrants and plums giving way to warm chocolate and vanilla notes with a hint of coffee. Fully integrated tannins and low acidity. Expressive on the mid-palate. The finish is quite long.
