Description
Quinta do Regueiro Alvarinho Primitivo 2024 is an outstanding white from the Monção e Melgaço sub-region, part of the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region. It is made exclusively from Alvarinho grown on old vines around 40 years of age. It is widely acclaimed by critics, earning a prestigious 18/20 from Grandes Escolhas magazine and 93 points from Revista de Vinhos.
ColourIt shows a bright lemon colour and a fruit-driven nose of citrus and peach, wrapped in elegant mineral and lightly smoky nuances. On the palate it opens broad and structured, with good volume. The vibrant, well-integrated acidity brings balance and freshness, carrying through to a long, harmonious finish.
This label is a regular in the magazine's "Best of the Year" and "Press Choice" selections. It is the work of Paulo Cerdeira Rodrigues, a producer of remarkable consistency, scoring 18 points for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 vintages.
