Description
Nicolás Catena Zapata is the top red of Bodega Catena Zapata in Mendoza, Argentina, and honours Nicolás Catena, the pioneer of high-altitude viticulture in the country.
It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec from high-altitude vineyards. The 2020 shows cassis, blackberry, violet, spice and graphite, with firm tannins, good freshness and ageing potential.
Pair with grilled meat, especially Argentine asado, lamb or aged cheese. Serve at 17–18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
