Castro Ventosa Valtuille El Val Godello 2022

The Wine Advocate: The impressive Valtuille El Val 2022 has a darker yellow color, some toasted notes (80% of the barrels were new), controlled maturation and 13.07% alcohol. Harvested early in warm years, the wine has great freshness and acidity, which is reflected in the parameters — a pH of 3.15 and 7.04 grams of acidity. It is juicy and approachable, with a rounded palate that is very clean and focused, with the toasted notes still noticeable on the finish. It is varietal, with similar purity and freshness to a cooler year. 1,800 bottles were produced. It was bottled in August 2023. It will evolve well in the bottle.
