Another fabulous vintage for this prestigious Pauillac estate! The 2018 Pichon Baron reveals beautiful aromas of raspberry, blueberry coulis, blackcurrant cream and incense, as well as notes of lilac, truffle, undergrowth, garrigue and wild sage. Full-bodied, voluptuous and very seductive, the palate reveals layers upon layers of wild black fruit compote, framed by wonderfully ripe, velvety tannins and a beautiful freshness. The finish is very long and perfumed. A great Pauillac!
Château Pichon Baron de Longueville is made from vineyards grown on the estate’s historic terroir. The result is a full-bodied wine, rich in tannins, characterised by its finesse and elegance. Its persistence on the palate is exceptional and it has great ageing potential. It was in the 17th century that Jacques de Pichon, Baron de Longueville, began to build the Pichon-Longueville vineyard. The wine’s reputation was established within a few years.
