A wine-growing estate located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it has been owned by the Plantin family, the Abeille-Fabre heirs, since 1923. It is currently managed by the fourth generation. Mont-Redon has been the historical name of our territory since Roman times. The topography of the "round hill" located at the foot of the estate inspired the Romans to call it "Montem Rotundum", today translated as Mont Redon. Successive generations have gradually contributed to expanding the estate to 100 hectares of contiguous vineyards, giving it the pride of being one of the most beautiful vineyards in the legendary Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. More than half of our vineyards are planted on the "rolled pebbles" on the highest plateau of the appellation, commonly known as the "Mont-Redon plateau".
Notes of blackcurrant, olive green, hints of rustic cherry, hints of sweet spices and scrubland. The mouth is generous with smooth and greedy tannins.
