Description
H.M. Borges Madeira Boal 1986 is a Frasqueira (or Garrafeira) wine, the highest quality level for single-vintage Madeira. This bottling was aged for 35 years in French and American oak casks by the traditional canteiro method and only bottled in 2021.
Colour & aromaDeep amber with greenish tints. On the nose, notes of rum, cognac, varnish, toasted oak (smoke), molasses, caramel, chocolate, tea and toasted almond. On the palate it's full, well structured and highly concentrated. A long, elegant finish, with notes of dried fruit, spice, tobacco and black tea to the fore. Acidity and sweetness in perfect balance.
