Quinta da Rede
Baixo Corgo, Douro, Portugal
Quinta da Rede, in Santa Cristina, Mesão Frio, is recorded from 1484 and sits on the right bank of the Douro between Mesão Frio and Régua. The name comes from the fishing nets once stretched from bank to bank before the dams. José da Fonseca Alves bought it in 1995 and restructured the vineyard; the first Quinta da Rede wines came out in 2008.

Wine profile
Body
This wine: 3 out of 5 — right in the middle.

The freshness that makes your mouth water, like a squeeze of lemon. It gives a wine tension, length and ageing potential, and makes it great with food.
Wine profile
Alcohol
