The Altún Villacardiel wine, from Bodegas Altún, is a new tempranillo proposal, coming from a family wine of the Martínez Pangua brothers, in Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa, at an altitude of 630 meters, at the foot of the Cantabrian Mountains, which highlights its freshness, the excellent wood work and the elegant final result. It is a modern style wine, with wood present and fresh, attractive fruit.

The brothers Iker and Alberto Martínez Pangua know how to make the most of a vineyard located on clay-limestone soils, where the vines coexist surrounded by a small forest of holm oaks and typical Sonsierra vegetation.

Altún Villacardiel was launched in an edition of 14,000 bottles. It reflects the Atlantic character of the area, the freshness of its grapes and the purest expression of Tempranillo in a perfect combination of modern style wine with excellent quality wood. The Martínez Pangua family cultivates fifty hectares of properties in Baños de Ebro, Laguardia, Elciego and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. They are the third generation of winegrowers and second generation of winemakers since their parents managed to bottle their own branded wines in the 1980s.

Batch of wine from a vineyard located in the municipality of Laguardia. It is located in a protected archaeological area where remains of a medieval necropolis and previously dolmens and rock presses carved into the rock were found. This red wine has deep aromas of red and black fruits and flowers with an unctuous palate, with exuberant tannins.
