Description
Casa Rojo CL 98 Tempranillo 2023 is a single-varietal red from Spain's prestigious Ribera del Duero. It's part of the Casa Rojo winery's project, focused on the fullest expression of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) adapted to extreme climates.
Our wines reflect our life: everything we've lived since 2000, when we started making them, and everything we've felt since our son arrived in 2023.
Wine is our life. Wine is love, and that's exactly what led us to be born into winemaking in Murcia, to discover and experience the banks of the Duero, and to the arrival of our son, Tokyo Gomez Rojo.
Three origins that are at the same time three destinations. Three different moments in our lives, in which we've felt winemaking differently.
100% Tinto Fino from the Castrillo de la Vega area, at an average altitude of 800 metres, in the province of Burgos. The grapes come from old vines aged 26 to 50 years, all owned by local wineries.
At first sight it has a deep ruby colour that invites discovery. The nose shows the grape's full potential intensely, with aromas of black plum, blackberry and interesting hints of fine herbs and clove. The palate is fresh, well structured and vibrant, with light tannins and a medium, balanced finish.
