Description
Pio Cesare Barbaresco Il Bricco 2021 has been widely acclaimed by international critics, establishing itself as one of the highest-scoring vintages of this prestigious Piedmont cru.
As fine prestige wine rarely competes in ordinary medal competitions, its success is measured by the scores of the world's most respected critics:
The Wine AdvocateRP 95Reviewed by: Monica Larner
Made with grapes from the village of Treiso, the Pio Cesare 2021 Barbaresco Il Bricco shows a well-defined mineral character, with notes of dusty chalk rising above aromas of blackberry and dried blueberry. In the background are hints of lilac, dried iris root, mint and garden herbs. What truly sets this wine apart, though, are its elegant chalky mineral nuances, which blend perfectly with fine, powdery tannins.
