Description
Pó de Poeira Tinto 2022 is a fresh, elegant Douro wine made by winemaker Jorge Moreira at Quinta do Poeira. It's known as the more accessible, younger version of the iconic "Poeira", keeping the estate's vibrant, food-friendly character.
Grandes Escolhas magazine gave 17.5 points to Pó de Poeira Tinto 2022, highlighting it as a wine that favours freshness and balance — two hallmarks of Jorge Moreira's style.
In a Douro often associated with intense, structured wines, this red stands out for elegance and purity of fruit, with a lighter, more flowing approach. On the nose, notes of wild berries such as blackberry and blueberry stand out, wrapped in noble vegetal nuances and subtle hints of spice from oak ageing.
PalateOn the palate it shows vibrant freshness, supported by well-integrated acidity. Fine, polished tannins make for a harmonious, balanced profile, described as melodious, carrying into a clean, persistent finish.
In short, it's considered an excellent example of contemporary Douro — sophisticated, fresh and true to its origin.
