Description
Jean-Paul Benoît Droin Chablis Grand Cru Les Grenouilles 2022 is a prestigious white from one of Chablis' seven Grand Cru climats in Burgundy. It's known as one of the most generous and round in the Droin range, with a more open, less austere profile than climats such as Les Clos or Valmur.
The Wine AdvocateRP 93+Reviewed by: William Kelley
Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin Chablis Grand Cru Les Grenouilles 2022 received 93+ points. This score indicates not only high quality now, but also significant potential to develop, suggesting the wine may reach even higher levels with bottle age.
William Kelley highlights this label as one of the most seductive and texturally rich from Droin in this vintage. Aromatically, broad notes of orchard fruit such as apple stand out, with nuances of peach, honey and a light touch of brioche or buttery pastry.
On the palate it's full-bodied and layered, with a creamy texture and strong presence. Despite its richness and immediate approachability, it keeps precision and character, reflecting the typicity expected of a Chablis Grand Cru.
