Description
Patrick Javillier Bourgogne Cuvée Oligocène Branco 2024 is a white of excellent pedigree made by the prestigious Domaine Patrick Javillier, based in Meursault, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy (France). The name "Oligocène" refers directly to the geological epoch of the limestone soils where the vineyard plots lie.
Sensory Profile: A wine of great distinction, elegant and marked by expressive minerality. The nose shows delicate floral notes wrapped in hints of peach, baked apple and discreet citrus touches, with great finesse and definition.
On the Palate: Broad and enveloping, with a creamy texture balanced by vibrant freshness. The structure is harmonious and the finish lingers elegantly, leaving spicy notes and a distinctive saline sensation.
Ageing and Winemaking: Traditionally aged in oak barrels for about 16 to 18 months, with judicious use of new wood, to preserve purity of fruit, mineral expression and terroir identity.
Food Pairing: Versatile at the table, it can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with fish, shellfish and white meats, such as chicken and turkey.
