Wine profile
Body
This wine: 5 out of 5 — closer to «full».
How heavy and full the wine feels in your mouth — from light like skimmed milk to rich like cream. It comes mainly from alcohol, extract and, in sweet wines, sugar.
Wine profile
Tannin
This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «firm».
Tannins come from grape skins, seeds and oak. You feel them as a pleasant drying grip on gums and tongue — from silky and velvety to firm and chewy.
Wine profile
Acidity
This wine: 3 out of 5 — right in the middle.
The freshness that makes your mouth water, like a squeeze of lemon. It gives a wine tension, length and ageing potential, and makes it great with food.
Wine profile
Alcohol
This wine: 5 out of 5 — closer to «high» (14.5% vol.).
Alcohol brings warmth and body. Still wines usually sit between about 11% and 15% ABV, while fortified wines such as Port sit around 19–20%.
Wine profile

Description
Poeira Desalinhados Peregrino Tinto 2019 is an "out-of-the-box" red made by renowned winemaker Jorge Moreira at Quinta do Poeira, in Provesende in the Douro. This special edition in the "Desalinhados" range reflects experiments that challenge the winery's traditional profile.
Quinta do Poeira sits in Provesende, on a slope in the Pinhão river valley. Its north-facing exposure is key to the style of wine it aims for: fresh, elegant and reflecting the personality of the source vineyard each year. Sometimes we need to take risks, to “step out of line”, and when that happens at Poeira, irreverent, original wines are born. This wine was born of whole-bunch fermentation in a cement egg, aiming to give a different interpretation of Cabernet and Syrah.
