Viña Sastre Regina Vides 2020

The Sastre family founded this small winery, Viña Sastre, in 1992, with the aim of producing wine from their then 23 hectares of vineyard. Since then, Bodega Hermanos Sastre has maintained a traditional method of cultivation and production, with the utmost respect for the land, always seeking to create quality wines with genuine character.

Regina Vides is, without a doubt, one of the winery’s treasures. It is made from the oldest vines on the property (90 years old) and has a very limited production; which makes it a very exclusive wine. It has excellent aging potential.

Regina Vides has been highly appreciated by the most experienced palates, having received high scores from Robert Parker and the Peñín Guide. An ideal wine for celebrating or enjoying an unforgettable moment with loved ones.

This wine has a beautiful, dense cherry colour with violet hues. The nose is very complex and persistent, highlighting the ripeness of the grapes with aromas of black fruits, toast, roasted coffee, a mineral base (tar, coal and peat), spices (cinnamon, pepper and some vanilla), red caramel, wood and aromatic herbs (sandalwood and thyme). In the mouth, it is powerful, tasty, very fruity, well-structured in the body with noble tannins. Sensations of fresh black fruit and jam, cocoa, menthol, aromatic herbs, coffee beans, broad and very persistent, which promises a long life. It is produced by Bodegas Hermanos Sastre with grapes selected from the Las Tenadas, Sendino, Hoyo de las Heras and Bercial estates in La Horra (Burgos).
