Description
Cascina Baricchi Barbaresco DOCG Riserva Rose delle Casasse 2019 is a highly distinctive Piedmont red made from the rare Nebbiolo Rosé clone. It's known for its "explosive", exotic aromatics, setting it apart from Barbarescos made with more common clones.
93 ptsVinous (Galloni)
The 2019 Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse offers lovely density and plenty of character. There's magnificent depth at the mid-palate. A slight fading at the rim and slightly mature notes in the bouquet lead me to believe the 2018 will probably be a medium-term wine, despite its remarkable presence. Tobacco, dried herbs, mint, leather, cinnamon and dried autumn leaves develop with a little air. The 2018 is a stunning wine whose only limitation is that it seems a little older than it should.

Characteristics and Tasting Notes
According to Vinous (Antonio Galloni) and KL Wines descriptions, the 2019 vintage stands out for its depth and elegance:
Nose: A complex bouquet of sweet red cherry, blood orange, rose petals, mint and spice (cinnamon).
Palate: Magnificent mid-palate density, described as "sapid" and almost sweet from the intensity of fruit, balanced by firm tannins and vibrant acidity.
Ageing: It follows a traditional method of long maceration and extended ageing, typically spending 4 to 5 years in wood before release.
