Description
MOB Touriga Nacional 2021 is a prestigious top-range single-variety red from the Dão (Serra da Estrela sub-region), from vineyards in Seia.
The MOB brand is a collaboration between three renowned Douro winemakers: Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges.
From vineyards in Seia, at the foot of the Serra da Estrela, comes this Touriga Nacional that elegantly expresses the Dão's unique terroir. Vinified in cement lagares with foot-treading and also in stainless steel tanks, it's a wine of great authenticity and precision.
AromaThe nose is intense and sophisticated, dominated by the grape's typical floral notes of violet and lavender, with ripe black fruit, subtle spice and a slight earthy touch.
PalateOn the palate it stands out for its firm structure and enveloping texture, with present but polished tannins. Lively, well-integrated acidity gives freshness, minerality and nerve, balancing the richness and depth. The finish is long, elegant and persistent, suggesting excellent ageing potential.
A pure, authentic Dão that faithfully reflects Touriga Nacional at altitude.
