Quinta do Pessegueiro Reserva Tinto 2023
93/100 Points
Reviewed by Paulo Castro | Garrafeira Vinogrande
Deep, clear and bright ruby, this Reserva Tinto 2023 confirms the elegance and precision of João Nicolau de Almeida's style. The nose is intense, pure and very expressive, with a captivating aromatic profile where floral notes of violets stand out, alongside redcurrants and ripe blackberries. The complexity deepens with subtle hints of cocoa, menthol and an interesting earthy touch of moss, adding identity and character.
On the palate it stands out for its silky texture and the quality of its tannins, fine and perfectly polished. Freshness is one of its greatest assets, supported by precise, very well-integrated acidity that brings balance, tension and food-friendliness. The finish is long, harmonious and persistent, leaving an impression of elegance and fruit purity.
A modern, refined Douro that combines aromatic intensity, freshness and balance with great naturalness. A wine that favours finesse over exuberance, showing excellent winemaking precision and ageing potential.
