Description
Sidónio de Sousa Reserva Tinto 2021 is a structured, traditional red from the prestigious Bairrada region, made entirely from the native Baga grape. It's known for its classic profile and characteristic ageing in large old Portuguese oak casks.
From Bairrada and a "Baga Friend", Sidónio de Sousa is one of the region's great winemakers. Known for owning some of Bairrada's oldest and best Baga vineyards, he still makes his wine traditionally, resulting in juicy, refined wines with good fruit, aged in old Portuguese oak — rare nowadays, even in Portugal.
100% Baga. Classic and serious in style. The fruit is very pure and goes hand in hand with vegetal notes, combined with spice that gives plenty of freshness and a deep balsamic side. Fine, settled and very drinkable. Excellent price.
