Description
AD Wines Arufe 2025 is an organic, vibrant white made by the prestigious AD Wines, at Quinta de Santa Teresa in Loivos da Ribeira, in the Baião sub-region (Vinhos Verdes Demarcated Region). "Arufe" refers directly to the location of the producer's headquarters and winery, on Rua de Arufe.
Dry, light and refreshing, this Vinho Verde has delicate notes of citrus blossom and green apple on the nose, with subtle mineral nuances. On the palate it stands out for its vibrant acidity and elegant texture, ending with a pleasant saline sensation that shows its Atlantic roots. Fresh, balanced and very food-friendly, it goes especially well with shellfish, grilled fish and roast vegetables, and is also an excellent aperitif, especially on warmer days.
Although Arufe Vinho Verde is a brand focused on export and specific channels (so it doesn't collect many individual awards in mass-market competitions), the producer AD Wines has won several notable distinctions in the Portuguese and international wine sector:
Revelation Producer of the Year: AD Wines was named "Revelation Producer" by the leading national magazine Grandes Escolhas.
Excellent Scores: The producer's whites (such as the Monólogo ranges and the Quinta wines) often receive 17 points or more in top publications such as Revista de Vinhos.
International Gold Medals: With other ranges from the same terroir, the producer has won Double Gold and Gold at the demanding Sakura Wine Awards in Japan.
Sustainable Certification: The project stands out internationally for its sustainable practices, holding Biosphere Certified status for preserving local biodiversity and organic viticulture.
