The Verdejo grape is the queen of the DO Rueda.
We make this wine from old vines located in Olmedo, in the province of Valladolid, where Verdejo expresses a distinctive and particular character.
Verdejo is a grape that produces fatty and full-bodied wines, being a more structured wine than our Gabacha Sauvignon Blanc.
Pale yellow in color with beautiful greenish contours, this white wine that we have been producing at CASA ROJO since 2012 has a very attractive brightness.
On the nose, herbaceous tones, subtle menthol and some anise stand out, very well accompanied by notes of apple, grapefruit and pineapple.
In the mouth, El Gordo del Circo is tasty, fresh, with body and structure and a bitter and aniseed finish characteristic of this grape.
Straw yellow in colour, with bright greenish tones. The nose is elegant, intense, with herbaceous notes and notes of white and stone fruit, as well as a spicy and citrus touch. In the mouth it is full and sweet, as a result of its ageing on the lees, and with a freshness that gives it balance and length on the palate.
