Description
Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva 2019 is a prestigious red from Rioja, Spain, made mainly from Tempranillo from vines over 80 years old. This wine is known for its classic elegance, robust structure and ageing potential that can exceed 50 years.
The winery's experience and know-how ensure that the best vintages of this wine will keep in bottle for 50 years or more, undoubtedly still tasting delicious. A wine for eternity.
James Suckling: Excellent depth and complexity here, starting with the nose, which is more introverted but savoury in character, showing subtle vanilla spice, dried oranges, peppercorns, dark mushrooms and red fruit. Fluid, pleasantly fruity and intense, with fine spice and lovely mid-palate density. Long finish, lasting about a minute. Drink now or hold.
