Wine profile
Tannin
This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «firm».
Tannins come from grape skins, seeds and oak. You feel them as a pleasant drying grip on gums and tongue — from silky and velvety to firm and chewy.
Wine profile

This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «crisp».
The freshness that makes your mouth water, like a squeeze of lemon. It gives a wine tension, length and ageing potential, and makes it great with food.
Wine profile
Alcohol

Description
Cru Monplaisir Bordeaux Supérieur Tinto 2022 is a French red of excellent value, made by renowned winemaking couple Julie and Xavier Gonet-Médeville. This vintage stands out for coming from sustainably managed plots right next to the famous Margaux appellation (with some plots bordering Château Margaux itself).
Elegant and polished, this red stands out for its clear, enveloping expression of dark fruit. On the nose, aromas of black plum, currant and fig, complemented by delicate mineral nuances of graphite and a subtle, perfectly integrated hint of oak.
PalateOn the palate it's full-bodied, juicy and surprisingly fresh, with a silky, velvety texture. Merlot brings fruitiness, roundness and enveloping character, while the Cabernets add structure, depth and firm but finely polished tannins. The finish is balanced and persistent, with a harmonious combination of fruit, freshness and structure.
Food pairingFood Pairing
A particularly food-friendly wine, ideal with grilled or roast red meats. It pairs excellently with roast shoulder of lamb with rosemary and thyme, gourmet rib burgers with Gruyère, quality charcuterie and a selection of cured cheeses.
