Bright ruby red with attractive violet glints, it shows an expressive, elegant nose of fresh red fruit such as raspberry and cherry, complemented by delicate floral notes of rose petals and subtle hints of sweet spice.
On the palate it's fresh and balanced, with vibrant acidity, medium-bodied structure and fine, firm, well-integrated tannins. It finishes elegantly, leaving a pleasant sense of freshness and persistence.
James Suckling:
Suckling describes it as a "fruity and vivid" Nebbiolo, with notes of ripe strawberries, cherries and touches of roses. He rates it a medium-bodied wine, dry but juicy, with fine, supple tannins.
Food Pairing
A particularly versatile wine at the table, perfect with porcini risotto, truffle pasta, grilled red meat, game and aged cheeses such as Parmesan.
