Description
Attis Mar 2023 is the 2023 vintage of a unique Albariño made by Attis Bodega y Viñedos in Rías Baixas, Spain.
This wine is widely known for its distinctive ageing process:
Underwater Ageing: After an initial 6 months on fine lees in oak vats and foudre, the wine is bottled and submerged in the Atlantic Ocean.
Depth: The bottles age at about 12 metres deep for at least 6 months.
Sensory Profile: Contact with the sea and the absence of oxygen give the wine marked salinity, vibrant freshness and a creamy texture, with notes of citrus and white fruit.
Tasting notes highlighting the underwater wine Attis Mar The combination of these processes results in Attis Mar, a unique underwater wine that stands out for its very intense straw-yellow colour. On the palate a certain acidity stands out, combining perfectly with the finesse and freshness of the wine, which come from its ageing on the seabed. It also stands out for its saline touch and great ageing potential.
Historically, the Attis Mar project has won gold medals at competitions such as Mundus Vini and the Bacchus Awards, keeping the standard of excellence in the 2023 edition.
