Description

Balbás Crianza 2019, from the historic Bodegas Balbás, reflects the tradition and excellence of D.O. Ribera del Duero. Made from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, it ages for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by 12 more months in bottle before release.

Sensory Analysis

Appearance: Deep, intense ruby with violet glints showing its youth and vigour.

Nose: Complex and seductive, with floral notes of violets in harmony with the intensity of ripe black fruit such as cherries and blueberries. There are also ‘nuances’ of spice, vanilla and toast from the oak, complemented by a light herbaceous touch typical of Cabernet Sauvignon.
