Description
Château Haut Sarpe Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Tinto 2020 is a prestigious red of fine pedigree from the famous Bordeaux region, France. A structured, complex wine reflecting one of the most praised vintages in the region in recent years.
The Wine AdvocateRP 93Reviewed by: Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Deep garnet-purple in colour, the 2020 Haut Sarpe opens in the glass with expressive aromas of roasted black plums, stewed black cherries and blackberries, complemented by notes of Chinese five spice, sandalwood and tree bark, plus a subtle hint of unsmoked cigars.
PalateThe medium-bodied palate (14% alcohol) has a firm, chewy texture and vibrant freshness supporting the layers of spiced black fruit. The finish is tasty, persistent and slightly firm.
Published: 20 May 2021.
