Description
The sparkling wine G.D. Vajra "Nostra Signora della Neve" consistently scores well with international critics, recognised for the freshness and complexity that come from long bottle ageing.
G.D. Vajra “Nostra Signora della Neve” (NV) is presented by the team at Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate) as a sparkling wine of great subtlety and precision. On the nose, fine notes of wild berries, citrus nuances of orange peel and delicate floral hints evoking rose petals, all wrapped in discreet touches of yeast and bread crust from ageing.
On the palate it stands out for its vibrant freshness and a certain "nervous tension" that gives it dynamism. The texture is creamy, supported by an extremely fine bead, while Nebbiolo's light tannic structure integrates harmoniously with Pinot Noir's fruity elegance.
FinishThe finish is clean and persistent, with a marked, mouth-watering mineral component reflecting the limestone soils of Roddino. According to Monica Larner, this rosé is one of Piedmont's most food-friendly, above all for its ability to evolve in the glass and the complexity it shows at the table.
