Description
900 bottles of Maria Gomes from clay-sand soil and Bical from clay-limestone. Foot-trodden in an open lagar, it finished in used 400-litre barrels where it spent 10 months. Strong yellow colour, little fruit; the nose focuses on the vegetal side and a mineral toastiness that is the sum of its years of bottle age. Very dry on the palate, very full-bodied, enveloping acidity, a bitter, vegetal note giving the wine nerve and fibre, finishing intense and full of character.
