Description
Quinta de La Rosa Touriga Nacional 2020 is a superior-quality red made in Portugal's prestigious Douro region by the renowned winemaker Jorge Moreira. This single-variety wine is made entirely from Touriga Nacional, grown mainly in the Vedeal vineyards on the Quinta de La Rosa estate.
100% Touriga Nacional. This wine has perfect aromatic quality, its fruit heightened by its floral side. On the palate it's dense and complex, but stands out above all for its subtle freshness and long finish. Expressive throughout, it has excellent ageing potential.
The Douro, despite being a very old region, still has much to explore thanks to its great size and huge diversity of terroirs. Quinta de La Rosa is a good example of this diversity, with vineyards from about 100 m by the river, in the imposing Vale do Inferno, up to 500 metres in the Lamelas vineyard. We also have east, north and south exposures and a wide range of grapes. Always with a privileged view of the Douro river, all the estate's grapes are grade A, the best the region has to offer.
Poor schist soils combined with very varied topography favour full-bodied wines with great minerality, acidity and freshness. This combination of complexity and power, achieved with good ripening, and the elegance and freshness so characteristic of our estate, have made our wines famous. Our wines express the terroir elegantly, without excess ripeness, extraction, tannin or oak.
