Description
Quinta do Monte d'Oiro Cabernet Franc 2023 is a limited-edition red made in the Lisboa region (Alenquer) by the prestigious Quinta do Monte d'Oiro. Born of a small, north-facing experimental plot of clay-limestone soils, this Single Vineyard reflects a personal commitment to Cabernet Franc under the direct influence of the Atlantic climate.
It shows remarkable aromatic precision, dominated by fresh, expressive notes of red fruit, especially wild strawberries and raspberries. Complexity is enriched by the grape's vegetal and spicy character, with hints of fresh pepper and aromatic herbs. On the palate it has striking freshness, supported by firm, linear acidity and a distinctive saline minerality reflecting the limestone soils. Fine, rigorously defined tannins give depth, structure and elegance. The finish is long, persistent and sophisticated, confirming this red's aristocratic personality and deeply gastronomic character. A highly exclusive production, usually limited to just a few hundred bottles per vintage.
