Description
Ferreirinha's quintas are probably the most emblematic in the Douro. Among them, Quinta do Vale Meão carries enormous symbolism, as it was a project conceived from scratch: the estate was acquired as virgin land.
On its own merits, Quinta do Vale Meão is truly one of Portugal's most interesting and sought-after wines, a well-deserved reputation for the quality it shows in every vintage released. The estate also makes a second wine, Meandro do Vale Meão, from its younger vines.
Quinta do Vale Meão 10 Anos is best served lightly chilled, at 12ºC–14ºC. The nose has a toasty profile of walnuts, coffee and chocolate with notes of orange peel. Rich and soft on the palate, full of ripe-fruit flavours that linger in a long, elegant finish.
