Description
Rocca delle Macìe Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2022 is a classic, food-friendly Tuscan red made mainly from Sangiovese. Made by the Zingarelli family in Tuscany, Italy, this vintage stands out for its balance of freshness and structural complexity.
Rocca delle Macìe Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2022 received 92 points from Wine Spectator. Critic Bruce Sanderson highlighted its vibrant acidity, firm structure and aromas and flavours of cherry, blackberry and earthy notes. The wine is a Sangiovese-dominated blend, with a recommended drinking window to 2038.
A captivating story that began in 1973, when the famous film-maker Italo Zingarelli decided to follow his dream of making wine and bought Tenuta Le Macìe. He may not have imagined that within a few decades Rocca delle Macìe would become one of Italy's great brands. Now run by his son Sergio, the winery has 6 estates: 4 in Chianti Classico (Le Macìe, Sant’Alfonso, Riserva di Fizzano and Le Tavolelle) and 2 in the Maremma (Campomaccione and Casamaria). All its wines charm with their typicity, elegance and food-friendliness.
