Description

Côte de Nuits-Villages "Au Leurey - Vigne de 1937", made by Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair in Burgundy, in the 2022 vintage. The code "T 2022" indicates the vintage, not the year the vines were planted.

Nose: A rich, perfumed style, with flavours of cherry, pomegranate, blood orange and sandalwood. The minerality from the limestone soil is notable, giving vibrant, ripe fruit notes with a floral touch of roses and peonies.

Palate: Juicy and full of sweet red-cherry flavour. Fine, well-integrated tannins give a smooth texture. The flavour is long and pure. The acidity is lively and well balanced, bringing freshness.

Body: Medium to full-bodied, with intensity from the old 1937 vines.

Finish: A long, perfumed finish, vibrant and mouthwatering at the same time.

Ageing: Drink from 2027, with potential to age to 2032 or beyond.
