Description
Thibault Liger-Belair: Bourgogne Gamay "Les 2 Terres" 2022 is a cuvée combining grapes from Beaujolais and Burgundy, hence the name "Les Deux Terres", meaning "the two lands". The blend aims to combine the finesse and distinction of Pinot Noir with the fruity indulgence of Gamay.
Aroma: The aroma is described as a bouquet of red and black fruit, such as cherry, crushed strawberry, cassis and blackberry, with notes of liquorice, spice and pepper.
Flavour: The palate has a smooth, creamy texture, with round tannins, balanced acidity and a finish with notes of tobacco and cooked fruit.
Additional characteristics: It's considered an elegant, balanced wine, with mineral notes and a saline touch, giving pleasant freshness.
This wine pairs well with cheese, white meat, charcuterie, feathered game such as pheasant, and red-meat dishes such as steak and duck.
Its versatility and body make it a good choice for medium-flavoured dishes, mushroom risotto and stews.
