Description
Château des Eyrins Margaux 2023 is a high-quality red made in the prestigious Bordeaux region of France. It stands out for coming from a very special vineyard of just three hectares, much of it literally surrounded by the vines of the iconic Château Margaux.
Tasting Note
Château des Eyrins Margaux 2023 has a profile deeply marked by the elegance and freshness typical of Margaux, combining concentrated fruit, aromatic precision and a structure of fine tannins.
ColourA deep, dense, bright ruby, with violet glints showing its youth and the concentration of the fruit.
AromaOn the nose it's expressive, complex and refined, dominated by ripe red and black fruit, especially wild blackberry, plum and cherry. Then come delicate floral notes of violet, with subtle nuances from oak ageing: hints of sweet spice, cocoa, tobacco and cigar box.
PalateOn the palate it's medium to full-bodied, with excellent concentration and depth, while keeping the freshness and elegance that distinguish great Margaux. The texture is silky and enveloping, supported by firm, very fine, perfectly polished tannins that give structure without any hardness.
The acidity keeps it vibrant and balanced, leading to a long, dry, persistent finish marked by balsamic, mineral and slightly spicy nuances.
A Margaux of great balance and definition, combining the purity and approachability of young fruit with a structure able to support positive development in bottle. Although it can be enjoyed now, it should gain complexity and depth with a few years of ageing, with cellaring potential of around 8 to 12 years.
At the table it's an excellent choice with red meats, game, roasts and intensely flavoured dishes, working especially well where the dish's structure matches the wine's elegance and freshness.
