Description

Legítimo is a classic Douro red, light in colour but full of aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry and leather. It is a field blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties from 50-year-old vines at Quinta Vale de Cavalos.

Conceito Winery combines centuries of tradition with a bold new Portuguese style; it is led by Rita Ferreira Marques, an expert winemaker native to the Douro Valley. Over the years the winery's impressive range has grown to include whites, sparkling wines and fortified wines, alongside intriguingly fresh reds such as Legítimo. It is the perfect winery to start exploring the north of Portugal.

Full-bodied and wonderfully dry on the palate, it shows dark forest-fruit flavours, rich baking spices and an earthy forest-floor tone. It balances roundness and freshness perfectly, for an easy-drinking experience.
